I am a confident and able speaker, and would be the perfect addition to your conference or event.
With a secretarial career spanning more than a decade and experience with companies from start-ups to global blue-chips, there isn’t much I wouldn’t be able to speak about.
Whether you are looking for someone to speak on a specific topic at your event, or generally about a career in Administration, contact me and we can discuss what I can offer. Whether you are organising a large international event and need a Keynote Speaker, or if you run your company’s PA network and would like someone to talk to your colleagues in an informal setting, we can definitely work together.
See me next…
I am currently available for speaking opportunities worldwide. I will be in the USA at the beginning of October 2019.
Yvette worked as an EA within Financial Services for more than a decade, in large blue-chip organisations, start-ups, and everything in between. She was working in an investment bank during the 2008 crash, and has worked at two different start-ups.
She has worked with large teams, and as a 1-1 PA, and is a Fellow of the Global PA Association.
Yvette now works as the Head of Business Intelligence for an Alternative Finance company for which she joined as Office Manager and PA in 2015.
Her continued support for the Administrative profession extends to speaking at international events and panels, and writing articles specialising in body language, working at start-up organisations, and how to work with different types of people.
Yvette is a seasoned networker and speaker, Q&A host and panelist. She has built several of her own websites and is currently writing a book on how to work with different personality types.
Yvette lives in Surrey, UK and when she isn’t working or travelling, she will most likely be at the gym or working on her latest business idea.
I can cover a wide range of topics, and can sit on panels to discuss practically anything. Specialities include:
Body Language in the Office
In an office environment, it’s incredibly valuable to understand some key body language signs when dealing with managers, subordinates, peers, colleagues or external clients. After this session you will be able to position people around a room in a way that makes the shy more comfortable and the confident a little quieter. You will notice the signs of people who are bored or who just really want to leave the room, and be able to direct the meeting accordingly.
Start-ups and Downs
Working at a start-up involves many different skills and techniques to not only get the office physically up and running, but behaving to the outside world that you are already established.
Having worked at two different start-ups, Yvette talks about the ups and downs of setting up and office. She gives advice on the things she learned on her journeys, and tips on how to be most effective when the company is growing at lightning speed.
Transferable Skills of a PA
Yvette spent nearly 15 years working in Executive Assistant and Office Management roles, before moving on to be her company’s Head of Business Intelligence. Learn first hand which skills she learned as a PA that meant she was given this opportunity, and which skills allowed her to pick up the role so quickly and effectively.
